On Sunday, June 9, 2024, the 5th i:SY Meet took place in Wörth am Rhein. Organised by the i:SY Flagship Store by VELOREP in Karlsruhe and the i:SY experts from Velocenter Hessert, nearly 300 i:SY lover gathered for a group ride.

Strung together like pearls, numerous i:SY models and colours lined the Rhine bike path in Wörth am Rhein. But this year was not just about a group ride; it was also marked by the ambitious goal of breaking the world record for the longest static bike chain for a single brand.

Due to the tense weather conditions in southern Germany, the entire endeavour was at risk of failing. However, at the last minute, the route was approved. The icing on the cake was when Martin Kuhlmeier decided to join the longest bike chain.

Record judge Laura Kuchenbecker from the Record Institute Germany confirmed the world record! She counted a remarkable 283 i:SY models! Loud cheers erupted, followed by a long wave of applause from the i:SY fan community.

The colourful bike chain stretched as far as the eye could see. It was a joy to behold—all were impressed. Martin Kuhlmeier summed it up during the concluding gathering: "Not just a world record, but also a world-class day! Thank you!"

Jessica Schumacher perfectly captured the sentiment after the world record announcement: "Our thanks go to our loyal i:SY community, without whom this world record would not have been possible."
