SO LOVELY IT CAN BE – EVEN WHEN YOU PREFER TO RIDE

There's hardly anything better than spending every free minute outdoors in nature. Preferably on my i:SY, of course. It gets me comfortably everywhere—far beyond what I could ever do on foot, but more on that later. I usually start my tours right from my doorstep since I live in the heart of the Castle Land Saxony. On my so-called "doorstep round," there are three stunning landmarks: Waldenburg Castle, Wolkenburg Castle, and Rochsburg Castle. And when I wander toward Thuringia, there's conveniently a "Half Castle" on the way. Each tour has its own charm: sometimes it's a smooth ride on asphalt, other times it's rustic over roots and stones. Occasionally, there are even small cave passages. Thankfully, my i:SY is agile enough to handle it all. With its 20-inch tires and short wheelbase, it rides as easily as a well-organized handbag—and is even significantly lighter than that! ;-)

The POP ART naturally looks great against the imposing castle backdrops. True to the motto: If you're going for a royal view, then do it with a stylish vehicle! Occasionally, I also leave the Mulde bike path and dive into the city's hustle and bustle. There, I ride leisurely through alleys and streets, passing old facades, industrial wastelands, and of course, museums! For me, they are like little time machines amidst everyday life. Whether I land in a large exhibition or a small, charming city museum, I always take something away—new impressions, good vibes, and the feeling of having gotten to know the city a little better.

Das POP ART macht natürlich vor den imposanten Schlosskulissen eine gute Figur. Getreu dem Motto: Wenn schon royale Aussicht, dann auch mit stilvollem Gefährt! Ab und zu verlasse ich auch den Mulderadweg und stürze mich ins Getümmel der Stadt. Dort fahre ich entspannt durch Gassen und Straßen, vorbei an alten Fassaden, Industriebrachen und natürlich Museen! Für mich sind sie wie kleine Zeitmaschinen mitten im Alltag. Egal, ob ich in einer großen Ausstellung lande oder in einem kleinen, charmanten Stadtmuseum, am Ende nehme ich immer etwas mit – neue Eindrücke, gute Laune und das Gefühl, die Stadt wieder ein Stück besser kennengelernt zu haben. 

HOW THE i:SY GOT ME MOVING AGAIN

Honestly, everything I do today wouldn’t be possible if I had to do it all on foot. I have a personal handicap—congenital hip problems. Extensive hikes were never really my thing. My body has a clear opinion: please, no long distances on foot! So, the bike has always been my method of choice. Practical, joint-friendly, and with a wonderful feeling of freedom.

When I came across the i:SY concept, it was truly love at first sight. I was looking for a bike that not only looked good but also positively supported my physical needs. And lo and behold: the special frame geometry, the low step-through, and incredible agility—the i:SY just has it all! It rides easily, safely, and is fun, whether in the city, countryside, or up a castle drive. And honestly, it looks pretty good while doing it, too.

Since getting my i:SY, a lot has changed. I ride regularly and feel fitter. Depending on how I’m feeling each day—or what I call my "joint condition"—I use the motorised assistance. Between my leisure trips, the bike becomes my training partner that never complains but always motivates. I admit I initially thought using electric assistance didn’t count as “real” sport. Well, I was proven wrong! Today, I know that fun, movement, and training don’t exclude each other: you simply ride an i:SY.
